Samir is a French-Moroccan double olympian skier and snowsport instructor. His history is one of those the olympic movement can inspire. Samir is born in 1977 from a modest moroccan family. Samir discovered the snowy mountain at the age of 6, during a ski trip organized by his underprivilege children foster center. In 1992, at the age of 13, he saw on tv, during the opening ceremony of the Albertville (France) Winter Olympic Games, his ski heroes from the french team but also the morrocan olympic team, walking in the Olympic stadium. A dream is born. Despite the obstacles he faced, his determination and eternal enthusiasm brought him to rub shoulders with the elite of high-level international skiing. Convinced by his energy and motivation, he have been supported by His Majesty the King of Morocco, friends and ski clubs from the french Alps.

In 2010, he qualified in alpine at the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games in Canada. He was the only morocan athlete and the flag barer of the moroccan delegation at the Olympic opening ceremony. Eight years later at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic Winter Games in South Korea, he qualifyed in cross-country skiing by becoming the first Olympic skier ever to have qualify and participate at the Winter Olympic Games in alpine skiing, then in cross-country skiing. His achievements were shared by the french and international media (TV, radio, webtv, etc..).
